Privacy Policy

Last Updated April 12, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Sublime ("we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use our services, including our iOS application and SMS-based conversational AI system. By using Sublime, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

Consent to Receive Messages: By texting our phone number or signing up for an account on our iOS app, you consent to receiving messages from us related to our service. This consent is given at the time of your first text message or account creation.

We collect and process your personal information, including user input from our iOS app and SMS messages, to provide our commitment creation service. AI, in conjunction with our team, analyzes summaries of your user input and sometimes specific entries to create personalized commitments. Your user input is not shared with third parties and is stored solely for the purpose of creating commitments tailored to you.

1. What We Collect

  • Account info (iOS app): Name, email, phone number, and address.
  • Account info (SMS): SMS may collect the same information (name, email, phone number, address) as needed for our service.
  • User inputted data: The type of user input differs by platform—content you enter in the iOS app or messages you send via SMS, including your dreams, inspirations, and curiosities.
  • Usage data: Information about how you interact with our services, including app features used, session duration, and interaction patterns.
  • Device information: Device type, operating system version, unique device identifiers, and other technical information for app analytics and performance improvement.
  • Commitments: AI- and human-assisted recommendations.
  • Google account and Calendar data (when you connect Google Calendar): Information made available to us through Google's APIs for the scopes you authorize—such as your Google account identifier, OAuth tokens we need to maintain the connection, and calendar content we access to provide scheduling and calendar-related features in the app (for example, reading or managing events as permitted by the permissions you grant).

2. How We Use Your Data

  • Phone numbers: Solely used to send SMS messages related to our service's core functionality.
  • To generate personalized commitments based on your user input (app content or SMS messages).
  • Your user input is not shared with anyone and is only stored to create the perfect commitment for you.
  • Our team reviews summaries (and sometimes specific entries or messages) to refine commitment-making.
  • For app analytics and performance improvement, including analyzing usage data and device information to enhance our services.
  • To process payments for commitments or bookings.
  • Google user data: We use Google account and Google Calendar information solely to provide and improve user-facing features you request in Sublime (such as showing or working with your calendar in the app). We do not use Google user data for advertising, sale to data brokers, or unrelated purposes.

3. Data Sharing

  • Your user input is not shared with anyone. We never share, sell, rent, or trade your user input (app content or SMS messages) or personal data.
  • No marketing data sales. We do not sell anything to third parties for marketing purposes.
  • Trusted service providers. We may use trusted service providers to deliver SMS messages on our behalf. These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data and only use it for SMS delivery.
  • Third-party services. If a commitment requires a booking or purchase, we share only the necessary details (not your user input).
  • Google: We do not sell Google user data. We may process Google user data through Google's services and our infrastructure only as needed to operate the calendar integration you enable.

4. Payment Processing

  • We charge your payment method for commitment-related purchases with our processing fee included.
  • You set a spending limit, and we won't exceed it.
  • No refunds or modifications after charges are processed.

5. Opt-Out

You can opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. After opting out, you will no longer receive SMS messages from us.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain personal information only for as long as needed to provide our services, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When data is no longer needed for those purposes, we delete or de-identify it, subject to any longer retention period required or permitted by law.

Google user data. Calendar-related data and credentials we store (including OAuth tokens and calendar data we have cached or persisted on our systems) are retained while your Google Calendar connection remains active and your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward as needed for security, backups, and legal compliance. When you disconnect Google Calendar in the app or revoke Sublime's access in your Google Account third-party access settings, we stop accessing new data from Google and delete or invalidate stored tokens and associated Google-derived data on our systems within a reasonable time, except where we must retain minimal records to meet legal obligations.

Your requests. You may request deletion of your personal information, including Google-related data we hold, by contacting us at team@whysublime.com. We will respond in line with applicable law. Deleting your Sublime account (where available) or disconnecting Google Calendar may also remove or stop processing of associated Google user data as described above.

7. Updates

We may update this policy. Continued use means you accept any changes.
